ian samuels

Ian Samuels is a director based in Los Angeles. His hybrid work has screened internationally at festivals and venues including Sundance, SXSW, Telluride and Slamdance.

He recently directed MAP OF TINY PERFECT THINGS for Amazon, and SIERRA BURGESS IS A LOSER, for Netflix.

He has worked for the Jim Henson Company and Sesame Street.

He received his MFA from California Institute of the Arts in film directing and a BFA from Bard College in film / video.  He is a 2014 Film Independent Project: Involve fellow.
